Virtual Workshop Space Idea #2

Rather than using a literal image of a conference room, we decided that it would be more futuristic and useful to recreate the actual functionality of a workshop.  We noticed that in the workshop video people were writing lists and notes on large pieces of paper so we added a side bar that people can write/draw on during the conference to take communal notes.  As far as the actual virtual conference goes, we thought that it would be an interesting concept to add "turns" for who is currently speaking.  The current speaker's webcam is larger than the others, and he's the only one who has the sound turned on at the time.  During events such as Roll Call the current speaker will automatically rotate to the next person so that the participation is seamless.  On more freeform events people can request to be the next speaker.  For people who don't have a web cam they can chat on the side of the screen.  There is also an "Audio Only" option for people who only have microphones.

Virtual Workshop Animation - This is an animation that shows how to show/hide the live chat.

This is a possible example of what can replace the tick marks on the bottom bar of our navigation. This will give the user more of an idea of what they are clicking on before they scroll over.

This animated image shows a a navigator bar that would pop up when the user navigates to the bottom of the screen during video play. This bar would allow the viewer to quickly scrub through the video and will provide thumbnails of the frames to give the viewer and idea of their location in the video.

Graffiti wall

This is an example of the graffiti wall's functionality. It would embrace a computers web cam and use motion tracking, allowing the viewer to hold a distinctly colored object and draw their tag in thin air. The web cam would track the motion of the colored object and allow for the user to be free with their movement, mimicking the use of a spray paint can.

this is a idea for the virtual forum allowing multiple people to hold an online conference about the hip hop workshop
